The person
behind the practice

Chris Tucker, MBACP - Psychotherapist & Counsellor
I work with people who can't stop trying even when it's costing them peace.
Most people come to therapy because they’ve reached the point where holding it all together stops working.
They’ve done everything “right” but inside, they’re exhausted, tense, and unsure how to stop without everything falling apart.

That’s the space I work in. Helping people ease that pressure, make sense of the patterns that keep them stuck, and finally feel like themselves again.
Our approach to working together
1. We start with trust, so you can finally breathe
Our first step is building a genuine connection — a space where you don’t have to hold it together, edit yourself, or get it “right.”
That sense of safety is what allows real work to begin.
2. We find the patterns beneath the pressure
Together, we look beyond the surface — the anxiety, the guilt, the constant overthinking — to understand what’s really driving them.
3. We use the past to build your future
This isn't about dwelling on what's happened. It’s about making sense of how old rules and self-expectations still shape your life, and learning new ways to live that feel calmer, more flexible, and genuinely yours..
